The day I was ordained, the ordaining minister asked me, if I could create any ministry within the church setting, what would it be? My answer was, “I’d be a blesser.” I’d sit within a beautiful setting and in silence would bless individuals as they walked into the room. Words may be said, but the intention would be palpable.
To bless means to “confer prosperity upon.” It is my desire that all of my human brothers and sisters experience Divine Love within their lifetime; that for a moment, or longer, we know the blessing we came to earth to be.
I facilitate blessings in many ways. I perform house and business blessings, wedding ceremonies and memorial services.

“Rev. Bonnie and I learned it was legal for same sex couples to marry in Oregon. Leaving Seattle at 5 am, we drove to the Portland Court House. Rev. Bonnie performed a wedding ceremony every ten minutes for ten hours, while I photographed the event. Pouring rain and cold weather did not deter her. She managed to be fully present engaging with each couple, recognizing the importance of this day for them. I would describe her as ‘pure joy in action.’” Wanda Benvenutti, photojournalist
