Partnering Up for Prayer, Part I

Dear Friends,I am a multi-dimensional being with most of me existing in the invisible realm.

What about me can’t be seen?

My thoughts. Yes, the evidence of what I believe shows up through my actions, I live them outwardly, yet the actual thought behind the action cannot be seen. An example of this may be I may think I am funny (thought) and laugh with myself (action following thought).

My emotions. Emotions are most often a result of my thought interpretation. In changing how I see something, I change the emotion which arises from it, thus changing my behavior. With trauma victims, the fractured emotional field often informs the thought. It is backward. Either way, they date each other and are sleeping together in the invisible. I believe you didn’t clean up your room to get even with me (thought and interpretation) and I become mad (emotion).

My feelings. My feelings include intuitive knowings, inklings, body sensations, body impressions, silent transmission of energy between myself and another. These too cannot be seen, yet are “felt.” I know I am going to get this job, (feeling) then I do (confirmation).

My Spirit. My Spirit cannot be seen. Again, it leaves evidence wherever I am and wherever I go, however, the ingredients of Spirit — Love, Peace, Joy, Abundance, Bliss, Light — live within the invisible.

So, I pray. I pray to connect with Spirit. I pray to bring Heaven (Spirit) into form (physical seen reality). I pray in order to inform my invisible world and therefore have a different, more compassionate interaction with the world at large. I pray to activate my Spirit. I pray so Spirit runs the invisible inner realm, with my thoughts and emotions as servants to It.

And, I don’t pray alone. I hire a spiritual practitioner who prays for me. She supports me in examining my thoughts, feelings and emotions and she directs me toward and sometimes holds my hand to Spirit. She prays with and for me.

Now, I have a prayer partner. On and off within my ministry I have worked with a prayer partner. This is someone who is as committed to living from Spirit as much as I am. S/he is willing to pray for me daily and to hold the High Watch along side me, as I do her. It has been five or six years since I have had a committed prayer partner. We had our first weekly session together yesterday. I know my visible life is in for a turbo boost which I welcome.

Pray Without Ceasing,

Part 2 contains the how to’s of prayer partnering.
