Congruence
I am on the countdown with the last few days of buttoning up my home for a renter to take over. I am aware that spiritual practice and awareness is most necessary as I am finishing task after task and requiring as much efficiency as possible.
This morning I woke up in my head. A list forming. An urge to jump into doingness as I am aware that my left brain dictator is in charge. I sit down trying to coax my right creative brain to come on-line for balance and then I drop into my heart.
I have been intellectually and spiritually curious about the research that has come out in the past ten plus years with the heart. The HeartMath institute has been a forerunner on research. My big picture overall interpretation at this point is that to function fully and healthfully as a human being requires that our brain and heart are in coherence. When our heart is actually the boss, there is a greater vista of understanding to operate out of.
Not surprisingly, to open our heart requires a broken heart and/or meditation and awareness practices. I say in most talks I give that brokenheartness is one of our greatest spiritual gifts, if we allow it to be. We open to release that what we call loss is inevitable prompting us to live more in alignment with our Soul. It prompts gratitude for who we are and what we have. It opens a pathway to empathy if we don’t shut it down. And it opens us to a Field of Beingness, which is most profound.
Without brokenheartedness, meditation and awareness practices are the best way to train ourselves into coherence.
So today with tasks running my brain amok, I stop, get Centered, and breathe into my belly. I close my eyes and allow Light to flood my Being. I say to the invisible realm that I accept support today in all of its various forms and I will Trust the Divine Timing over my pushing. I then make my list and look forward to the many different ways that the Invisible Realm will demonstrate Its support throughout my day.
I have no idea how people can live without the awareness of the Invisible Power within and without. I am glad I choose not to.
