Remembering: Ghost Bikes

This weekend I drove from Phoenix, Arizona to Las Vegas, NV to return my daughter and grand daughter to their home.  Always the consummate curiosity seeker, I see out of the corner of my eye a bicycle by the side of the road. “Oh my God, did you see that?  Someone left their bike by the side of the road and it is all white!” I said to my daughter. We did a U-turn and a slow drive by.  It appeared to be a “ghost bike.” A ghost bike, is a memorial for individuals who where hit by cars; reminding cars to be awake to all road activity.  For me, it was a reminder of how quickly and suddenly we can leave this earth.  One moment I could be rocking my grand child, hiking in the mountains, sleeping in bed, or riding a bike; the next moment my physical life is complete. With no cars in sight, I pull to the side of the road to get...

Take Your Healing NOW

“The Holy Spirit has descended upon you, now reach out and take it,” says former actress and faith healer Sara O’Meara as she walks amongst seated individuals coming to experience their own recognition of Wholeness.  It is a hot, Phoenix evening, and maybe 100 of us are crammed next to each other in The Little Chapel with more in an overflow room.  It is June 1st with the temperature hovering over 100 degrees outside and it is warm inside.  “The energy of the Holy Spirit is warming,” she says with a smile.  “Aren’t we blessed?” I have always been attracted to faith healers and jump at opportunities to be in their presence.  These healers have touched within themselves an inner knowing and robust faith that allows them to stand courageously before others and call forth a deep, knowing within each of us that we can, have, and are the Whole Person we came to be. I studied with Dr. Eric Pearl, spent a weekend with Ron Roth, had my...

Excerpt from The Voice Celestial

This poem segment is worth reading out loud and then contemplating pieces of it for several minutes.  If it resonates with you, read this for one week to see what transpires for you.  I believe it is High Truth with blessed wisdom in it.  Love you … In every drop, the sea: in every cell, The Universe: in every soul, the life of God; and each contains full power of all. Life does not come in parts but wholes. There is No separation, no near nor farther out; No deeper down nor higher up, no void, No yonder; and no hopes that cannot be Fulfilled. The Power-of-All obtains in all, And Everywhere is here, and here is There. Draw thou on It if though wouldst truly be Complete nor suffer thirst again. Each soul Is drawn from circuits of the universe Where life and action have their center and Where every point is joined with every point And each event unites with each event In sequence after...

Prayer for Katherine Jackson

Two weeks ago, today, my daughter gave birth to a daughter, and I was made a grandmother. I am still learning what that means to my Soul and to my contribution while here on earth. I listen, and take note as I experience an inner shift underway. Last night I was awoken from a dream to pray for Katherine Jackson. This is not the first time I have experienced a deeper inner nudge calling me into prayer for someone I don’t personally know. This could be my unconscious mind, it could be the Voice of God. It doesn’t matter to me where it originated, what I know is; I was to pray. At 2 a.m., I crawled out of bed and prayed for Ms. Jackson who earlier in the week I witness an unhealed brokenness within her while watching her interview with Piers Morgan. Ms. Jackson on Piers Morgan Prayer for Katherine Jackson: I know there is One Presence, One Life, One Love which I choose to call God....

Mother’s Day as a Day of Peace

Julia Ward Howe, magazine author and writer of The Battle Hymn of the Republic, was sick and tired of the Civil War’s devastation to families, the community, and the world.  In 1870 she wrote a proclamation calling mothers to come together with a voice of peace.  Below is her letter: Arise, then, women of this day! Arise all women who have hearts, Whether your baptism be that of water or of tears Say firmly:   “We will not have great questions decided by irrelevant agencies, Our husbands shall not come to us reeking of carnage, For caresses and applause. Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn All that we have been able to teach them of  charity, mercy and patience.   We women of one country Will be too tender of those of another country To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.”    From the bosom of the devastated earth a voice goes up with  Our own. It says, “Disarm, Disarm!” The sword...

Let’s Create Our Story

Have you had the experience of several streams of thought coming together into one?  I did tonight. I attended a story telling class geared toward healers. Our instructor recounted a story which shared the same bones as The Ugly Duckling.  Only the family was a group of chickens and the duckling/swan was an eagle.  It is said the eagle fell from his nest as a young one to live amongst the chickens.  He learned how to “be chicken.”  He pecked his food from the ground, and spent most of his days there, with the exception of occasionally sitting on a low farm fence. One day a naturalist drove by and was taken by this sight.  Determined to assist the eagle in finding his authentic self, the naturalist went about slowly but surely encouraging the eagle to return to his native state.  He began by making a connection with the bird  until he was comfortable enough to perch about his arm.  Then, he reminded him who he really is, “You...
