Let’s Pray for Russia, Too

I have loved the pro-Ukraine sentiment in my part of the world. I have seen Ukraine flags hang in front of homes. I listen to the news that shares in large part the strength of the Ukrainian people. I attended church a few weeks ago and the program had a Ukrainian folk singer singing his heart out for his people. As I walked into the sanctuary I was handed a Ukrainian flag to pin on my lapel. We prayed for the Ukranians. I continue to ask myself what about praying for the Russians and the Russian leaders? In my professional practice I work with individuals identifying in large parts the underlying patterns that are driving them. The bully/victim dynamic is a classic driver. The war we are watching before us is about a bully (Putin) invading Ukraine (victim). When we look closer we see there are several victim groups. From what we have heard the Russian people don’t really know what is going on thereby watching their sons go...

What I Do When I’m in the Thick of It

My house is for sale. I have lived in my Phoenix home for twelve years, with a brief period of rental in the middle while I moved about the country. I love my home. It fits me. And, I know it is time to move. My life went from abundant and succulent to dried up. My work was being requested in other States, not Arizona, and the heat began to make my body sick instead of expectant like it once did. My social circle, for a large part, moved away. I didn’t want to pay attention to my life calling me elsewhere and I continued to delay the inevitable. And then I couldn’t any longer. I committed that 2020 would be the year that I would do what was mine and move. Then the virus hit. I felt as though the time to uproot myself was not in the midst of a pandemic, so I would wait it out. How long could that be? Possibly years. Every time I...

2013 is a Good Year for Learning and Deepening

This new year promises to be a Go(o)d one because I choose it to be.  I am old enough, imbued with enough wisdom, to realize my circumstances don’t dictate my sense of well-being, and I can influence many of my circumstances through thought and all of them through Love. So, I choose to enter into and live 2013 with the magical, miracle of simply being alive in this multi-dimensional universe. Aaaah… Join me in a powerful year. Two of my friends asked me on separate occasions to teach them how to pray as I do. The prayer technology I use is entitled Affirmative Prayer. This technology is several hundred years old and empowering. It acknowledges the mystical reality of the Kingdom of God as an inner reality and creates prayer with this in mind. I’ll be offering a three session class on this in January. I have been asked by a colleague to offer a class on embodiment and health. The focus of this series is learning to energetically...

Affirming Spiritual Reality as a True Reality

I promised on my last posting to bring you an interview regarding affirmative prayer. This interview is with Angela C. Montano, a Licensed Prayer Practitioner, whose work it is to pray with individuals using this technology.  She describes clearly the experience of entering into the spiritual field behind and within circumstances in order to call forth the spiritual reality not recognized until the moment of affirmative prayer. Enjoy!...

A Soulful Resource: Affirmative Prayer

Affirmative Prayer is praying from an internal state of Oneness with The Great Love and praying from the State which is desired, instead praying about the something desired.  It is embodying the end result energetically and then knowing it for yourself or another. The philosopher and spiritual teacher Ernest Holmes created an easy five step process for praying affirmatively. 1. Recognizing The Creator.  Sitting quiet in a contemplative space of knowing there is One Energy from which all Life and forms flow.  Connect with that Energy field with an open, grateful heart.  The basking in this dimension is often enough. 2. Unifying with The Creator.  Once the contemplation is set, then allow yourself to realize It lives within YOU.  The State is coming forth through communion within your very being. 3. Claim what it is your heart desires.  This is done “affirmatively” meaning in the present tense as though it is so.  If the prayer is for health it is speaking the words of well-being for yourself. 4. Give...
