Let’s Talk Vision …

The Invisible Realm is so rich and as a culture we tend to value that which is tangible and seen over that which is not visible to the eye. Last week I spoke about the Invisible Realm for thirty minutes at Unity of Chandler’s Sunday service and I could have gone on for five to six more hours and still barely scraped the surface of the potency within the Invisible. Take just a moment to think about all of the activity that is in the ethers right now that goes unseen. Electricity, wi-fi-, radio waves, wind, temperature, internal feelings, emotions, states of being and ideas/thoughts. While preparing for the talk I kept hearing the phrase “show me the money” from the Jerry Maguire movie. I wondered what the movie and phrase had to do with the invisible realm; so I watched the movie, again. Jerry was a tough, big firm, sports agent — caring about money and not the people. It was “about the deal.” Until — he visited...

My Experience of the Darkness: Thinking Today of Robin Williams

Life is not for the faint of heart. To be alive — not survive, but REALLY live — means to be in touch with all aspects of Self. To see life from the perspective of the body or experience it through emotional states is different than seeing life through the eyes of Spirit. To see from the Sight of Spirit, means to have a larger peep hole or aperture from which to view or witness life. The journey of Spirit is filled with internal states of expansion and contraction. To transform, which is the call of the Spiritual, is to enter into deep dark states within oneself and to know that even here; Life is. God is. After all, in order to transform, we are called to die to an old self in order that a new self may emerge. And death it is. No pussy footing around it. The caterpillar leaves its current physical state and turns into goo!!! that may assume a new self. Surrendering at...

Politics, Conflict and Division

A beloved friend of mine has gone through a treacherous week of FaceBook bashing for his political views. On his FB page a mini-war has erupted with name calling directed at him. He called me really torn up inside. He is a deep, deep lover of humanity and serves his community through action. He is a good guy. And, his political views aren’t mine. Neither are the views of half of my friends. Half of my friends are Democrats and half are Republicans; and I don’t love either group of my friends more or less because of the road each party believes will create our brightest future. Somewhere in our history we have trained ourselves to hate the people, not the views. To attack people, not the views. To kill people, not views. Hate, attack, and killing views or people have never worked, anyway. People become damaged or dead and views still remain. In a dualistic world we will always have black and white, right and left,...

Transformation is Sexy

“Nothing is sexier than watching active transformation” came sliding out of my mouth suspended 90 feet above the ground. I went zip lining with my friend Brandy last week.  She was terrified.  Okay, terrified is a generous understatement.  She was silent in the car ride to the zip location. She robotically geared up with the assistance of our guide.  Trembling she wanted to run.  A few times she said ” no I can’t” and those around her would remind her she could.  Her skin was a cross between ghost and paste and her energy was somewhere outside of her body.  She had a good reason to be frightened.  Several months prior she had been in a plane circling over LAX when the plane caught on fire, smoke filling the cabin.  She associated the experience of height with potential death and she wanted to move beyond and through this fear.  It was, however, active within her and running her body. We were given safety instructions and then we ascended via...
